Honda Elevates Premium Motorcycle Segment in India with Launch of CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and 2026 Gold Wing

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launches the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and 2026 Gold Wing in India under its BigWing portfolio. Both premium motorcycles return with revised pricing, advanced technology, and unchanged mechanical setups, targeting superbike and luxury touring segments with enhanced performance, safety features, and high-end engineering excellence.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has strengthened its premium portfolio in the country with the launch of two flagship motorcycles, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and the 2026 Gold Wing, under its BigWing brand. Both models return to the Indian market with revised pricing while retaining their established mechanical configurations and feature-rich equipment suites.

The Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP has been reintroduced at an ex-showroom price of Rs 33.50 lakh. The litre-class superbike had previously been available briefly in September 2025 before being discontinued. Its return marks a significant price increase of Rs 4.51 lakh over its earlier price of Rs 28.99 lakh.

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged. It is powered by a 999 cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine that produces 217.5 bhp at 14,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 12,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard. An Akrapovic titanium exhaust system further enhances performance output and acoustic character.

The Fireblade SP is built on an aluminium twin-spar frame and incorporates advanced racing-derived components. It features Ohlins Smart EC 3.0 electronically adjustable suspension and Brembo Stylema R brake calipers. The electronics package includes a six-axis inertial measurement unit, traction control, wheelie control, engine braking control, launch control, and multiple riding modes, all managed through a five-inch TFT display.

Alongside this, Honda has introduced the 2026 Gold Wing in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 44.30 lakh. The luxury touring motorcycle sees a price increase of Rs 1.5 lakh over its predecessor and introduces a new Gun Metal Black Metallic colour option while retaining its core mechanical setup.

The Gold Wing continues to be powered by a 1,833 cc liquid-cooled horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It also features reverse and walking-speed modes designed to assist with low-speed manoeuvrability and parking, particularly given its large touring frame.

The motorcycle remains one of the most advanced touring machines in the country, offering an electronically adjustable windscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a premium audio system, and an integrated airbag for enhanced rider safety.

Bookings for the 2026 Gold Wing are now open across Honda BigWing dealerships in India, targeting high-end touring enthusiasts seeking long-distance comfort combined with advanced technology and engineering refinement.

The dual launch underscores Honda’s continued focus on the premium motorcycle segment in India, reinforcing its commitment to high-performance superbikes and luxury touring machines with advanced global technology offerings.
